Job summary

The People Co. in Oxfordshire is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join its expanding R&D team. This hands-on role focuses on analytical testing, product development, and generating reliable data to move projects forward.

You will run assays, operate HPLC systems, maintain equipment, and contribute to SOPs and safety documentation while developing your laboratory expertise in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory, analytical or R&D environment.
• Experience with protein, polysaccharide and/or lipid chemistry.
• Experience running OPA, DH, Bradford and SDS-PAGE assays.
• HPLC methods and instrumentation; troubleshooting methods.

Responsibilities

• Run laboratory assays including OPA, DH, Bradford and SDS-PAGE.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot HPLC methods and instrumentation.
• Support R&D projects, laboratory trials and new product development.
• Record, analyse and report laboratory data accurately.
• Look after laboratory equipment, analytical methods and SOPs.
• Investigate and resolve analytical and equipment issues.
• Assist with health & safety, COSHH documentation and risk assessments.
• Help improve laboratory methods and processes where possible.
