Job summary

Corriculo Ltd is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to join two busy research laboratories in Oxfordshire. You will ensure smooth daily operations, manage consumables, stock levels, and order processing, and keep accurate maintenance records.

You'll support daily housekeeping, autoclave waste handling, and interact with scientists across functions, with scope to develop as the organisation grows.

Qualifications

• Degree or NVQ Level 5 in a technical subject or equivalent hands-on lab experience.
• Familiarity with H&S documentation (risk assessments, COSHH, SOPs) is a plus.
• Experience with storeroom or inventory systems; NetSuite exposure advantageous.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor consumables stock levels and replenish supplies.
• Maintain storeroom and process orders and deliveries promptly.
• Carry out routine equipment upkeep and maintain maintenance records.
• Perform site housekeeping and autoclave waste processing.
• Liaise with scientists and support broader operations; adapt as the organisation grows.

Lab Technician, Laboratory Support

A Lab Technician opportunity has arisen with an innovative life sciences company based in Oxfordshire. This is a junior, hands-on position sitting at the heart of daily scientific operations, giving you the chance to be a vital link between research teams and the wider organisation. The Role

The Lab Technician will be the operational backbone of two busy research laboratories, ensuring everything runs smoothly day to day so that scientific work can continue without interruption. You will take ownership of consumables stock monitoring levels, replenishing supplies, maintaining the storeroom, and processing orders and incoming deliveries in a timely fashion. Routine equipment upkeep, including deep cleaning and integrity checks, will also fall within your remit, alongside keeping accurate maintenance records.

A significant portion of the role involves daily general housekeeping across the site, including regular use of the autoclave for waste processing. You will interact with scientists across multiple research functions every day, acting as a trusted point of contact between the lab teams and the broader operations function. As the organisation grows, there is real scope for your responsibilities to develop alongside it.

What experience does the Lab Technician need?

• A degree or NVQ Level 5 in a technical subject, or equivalent hands-on experience gained within a laboratory setting
• Familiarity with H&S documentation such as risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and standard operating procedures, with any experience reviewing or managing such documentation a bonus
