Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions in Wantage, Oxon, is seeking a meticulous R&D Technician to join the laboratory team for up to 12 months. You will work on chemical sample preparation, handle laboratory instruments, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role involves data recording, DOE and statistical analysis support, and collaboration with R&D Chemists on coatings, formulations and product characterisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on lab operations and chemical handling.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.
• Experience with DOE and statistical analysis is advantageous.
• Ability to record and interpret data accurately.
• Strong data documentation and reporting skills.
• Collaborative and able to communicate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test chemical samples per procedures.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain lab instruments.
• Record and analyze results with compliance to standards.
• Support R&D projects with routine and specialized tests.
• Maintain inventory and proper chemical storage.
• Ensure safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
• Assist in pilot-coating and formulation mixing.
• Carry out product characterisation and performance evaluations.
• Provide data to support Development Projects.
• Engage in technical discussions with R&D Chemists.
