Job summary

Highland Spring Group is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to own a varied portfolio of engineering, CAPEX and improvement projects within our Engineering team. You will manage projects from concept to installation, commissioning and handover, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing and other functions to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

The role requires balancing technical requirements with cost, quality, timescale and operational priorities, driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to deliver engineering projects end to end.
Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to manage capital expenditure proposals and budgets.
Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Leading CAPEX projects from concept through to completion
Developing project scopes, plans, programmes, budgets and resource requirements
Supporting the development and justification of capital investment proposals
Managing design, procurement, installation, commissioning and effective handover
Controlling project expenditure, forecasts, risks, issues and changes
Coordinating suppliers and contractors from quotation to site delivery
Working with Manufacturing and Engineering to minimize disruption while delivering solutions
Planning and coordinating shutdowns, overhauls and other engineering activity
Providing clear project updates and influencing cross-functional teams
Driving continuous improvement and transitioning new assets into maintenance ownership
