Job summary

Highland Spring Group is seeking a Project Engineer to own a varied portfolio of engineering, CAPEX and improvement projects. You will deliver from concept to installation, commissioning and handover, balancing technical needs with cost and timescale.

You'll drive projects with Manufacturing and Engineering teams, ensure safe delivery, and manage scope, budget and resources while minimising disruption to operations. This role offers hands-on delivery and ownership across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end engineering projects.
• Ability to manage scopes, plans, budgets and resources.
• Strong stakeholder influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Leading CAPEX projects from concept through to completion
• Developing project scopes, plans, programmes, budgets and resource requirements
• Supporting the development and justification of capital investment proposals
• Managing design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover
• Controlling project expenditure, forecasts, risks, issues and changes
• Coordinating suppliers and contractors from quotation to site delivery
• Working with Manufacturing and Engineering to minimise operational disruption
• Planning and coordinating shutdowns, overhauls and other eng activity
• Providing clear project updates and cross-functional steering
• Driving continuous improvement and asset transitions to operations
