Job summary

Shift Plant Operator role in a well-established energy and industrial facility in the United Kingdom. You will monitor boilers, turbines and plant equipment, using control systems to optimise performance and respond to alarms to keep operations safe and efficient.

The successful candidate will maintain shift records, support waste and material movements, and ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in boiler operations or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and operational procedures.
• Good teamwork and motivated work ethic.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of computer systems and DCS controls is advantageous.
• Experience in process, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation engineering is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control boilers, turbines and related plant equipment for safe, efficient operations.
• Use control systems to optimise plant performance and respond to alarms.
• Maintain accurate shift records and logs.
• Support waste and material movements as part of shift duties.
