Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical movement and how components interact.
• Experience designing machinery or equipment with multiple moving parts.
• Ability to foresee mechanical issues with excellent spatial intuition.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and mechanical design principles.
• Willingness to get involved in hands-on engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems with moving parts, linkages, actuators, and motion control elements.
• Develop mechanisms that integrate motors, drives, pneumatics, or other actuation methods.
• Produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve mechanical issues during build, testing, and commissioning.
• Analyse mechanical interactions to prevent clashes, misalignments, and design-phase failures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of mechanical designs and engineering processes.
