Job summary

Lab49 is seeking a Mobile Team Tech Lead to own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements. This hands-on leadership role involves designing systems, writing code when needed, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring high-quality outcomes even when not coding.

You will work with client stakeholders, designers, product partners, and Lab49 leadership to deliver technically sound solutions, modernize mobile capabilities, and expand into new markets while navigating regulatory

Qualifications

10-12+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
4+ years leading Agile teams and mentoring engineers.
Proficiency in Swift and native iOS development tools (SwiftUI, UIKit, SwiftData, Swift Concurrency).
Experience with Android development in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose is a plus.
Experience with consumer banking features such as onboarding and account management.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, deliver, and test mobile applications across iOS and Android.
Lead architecture discussions and set engineering best practices.
Mentor engineers to improve velocity and code quality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical delivery aligns with business goals.
