Job summary

Lab49 in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior iOS Developer to lead client engagements, design and deliver iOS applications for major financial institutions, and drive technical direction. This hands-on leadership role involves collaborating with clients, designers and Lab49 leadership to ensure technically sound, scalable solutions.

You will own the technical direction, write code when it matters, and guide architectural decisions while ensuring delivery excellence.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience designing and building complex software.
Proficiency in Swift and native iOS tools: SwiftUI, UIKit, SwiftData.
Experience in consumer banking including onboarding and account management.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third‑party libraries.
Experience with agile development and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, deliver, and test iOS applications while understanding our products and client business.
Lead architectural decisions and guide engineering teams to high performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, product partners, and leadership to ensure quality.
Mentor engineers to increase autonomy and improve delivery.
