Job summary

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment seeks a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer for a global manufacturing group at their production facility in North Nottinghamshire. The role keeps production equipment operating safely and efficiently, with hands-on maintenance across a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ideally apprenticeship trained with a Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills gained within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience working on production machinery, plant or automated equipment.
• Experience of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Hands-on fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support across the production lines.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on plant and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and identify effective solutions to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement, reliability and cost-saving initiatives.
• Work closely with production colleagues to ensure equipment performance and availability.
