Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group in Ellesmere Port is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead production activities on your shift, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery of targets.

You will work with Maintenance, Technical and other teams to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement. The salary ranges from £49,500 to £54,000 per annum depending on shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience in Manufacturing, Production, Operations or Industrial environments.
• Experience leading and developing teams in fast-paced settings.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Flexible to rotate shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and motivate shift teams.
• Ensure activities meet H&S, Environmental, Quality standards.
• Monitor performance against output, quality, efficiency and cost targets.
• Minimise downtime with maintenance and technical teams.
• Manage staffing levels, handovers and daily reporting.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
• Respond to operational issues as they arise.
• Lead and support your team, including HR matters.
