Job summary

SF Partners is recruiting a Management Accountant for a 12-14 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, based in Newark/South Nottinghamshire. The role is hybrid, requiring three office days per week, with a salary of £38,000-£40,000 per year.

You will lead the monthly management accounts process across a multi-company group, analyse performance, and present findings to Regional Managers to aid decision-making. The role demands independence and strong technical accounting skills.

Qualifications

• Experience independently managing full month-end management accounts.
• Strong technical knowledge of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ability to present management accounts and explain financial performance to non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journals including payroll, accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue and depreciation.
• Manage the month-end process and ensure journals and schedules are completed within five working days.
• Take ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations across group companies.
• Review management accounts, investigate variances and identify trends.
