Job summary

SF Partners is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team on a part-time interim basis in Nottingham. The role focuses on core management accounting duties, including month-end, P&L and balance sheet reporting, with flexibility around hours within a 22.5-24 hour week.

You will post journals, manage accruals, maintain fixed assets, and provide analysis to support pricing, cost control and profitability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on management accounting experience.
• Part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with Sage 200 desired.
• Analytical and organised with deadline discipline.
• Able to communicate financial information clearly across the business.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting.
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments; reconciling control accounts.
• Maintaining fixed asset and tool hire schedules.
• Investigating variances across margins, overheads, budgets and forecasts.
• Preparing supplier BACS payments and quarterly VAT returns.
• Providing financial analysis to support pricing, cost control and profitability.
