Job summary

Elis Kendal is seeking a practical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at the Kendal site. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on site machinery, diagnose faults, and support improvements to keep operations safe, reliable and efficient.

You will work closely with production, ensure safety standards, and help minimise downtime while contributing to site development and knowledge sharing. Rotating 2-shift pattern Mon - Friday.

Qualifications

• Around 3 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong practical mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
• Experience with electrical circuits, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance to maximise reliability and minimise downtime across site machinery and infrastructure.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement safe, effective repairs.
• Maintain assets and site infrastructure to high standards and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and site performance.
• Collaborate with Production and other site teams, communicating clearly when issues arise.
