Job summary

Elis is seeking a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Engineer for our Rainhill site. You’ll perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on site machinery and infrastructure, diagnose faults and implement safe repairs to maximise reliability and reduce downtime.

You’ll support site improvements and work closely with operations to keep the site moving. Ideal candidates have around 3 years in manufacturing environments, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and a proactive, safety-first

Qualifications

• 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics and interpret electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Strong fault-finding and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on site machinery and infrastructure to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, identify root causes and implement safe repairs.
• Maintain equipment and site infrastructure to high standards and improve site performance.
• Support site improvements and participate in wider engineering projects.
