Job summary

Trouw Nutrition in Ashbourne, UK, invites you to join our laboratory team for a 12-month fixed-term placement. You’ll register samples, manage data accurately, and support day-to-day lab operations in a real production environment.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with wet chemistry techniques (vitamins, minerals, enzymes), NIR analysis, and LIMS usage, while assisting senior staff and interacting with customers in a fast-paced, supportive global setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an analytical laboratory environment.
• Experience with databases and LIMS preferred.
• Good IT skills: Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Attention to detail and systematic working approach.
• Ability to work on own initiative within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with UKAS ISO 17025:2017 standards where applicable.
• Perform wet chemistry techniques and prepare/analyse samples (vitamins, minerals, enzymes).
• Analyse samples by NIR (including raw materials, premixes, feeds, forages).
• Assist Laboratory Managers in daily duties and sample preparation.
• Maintain lab and stock areas, ensuring proper storage of samples.
• Support and cover senior analysts as needed.
• Aim for quick turnaround times for analyses.
