Job summary

Talentmark are recruiting a Flexible Technician for a leading global food brand on a 6-month contract, with strong likelihood of extension. The role is site based in Reading (Berkshire) and Wokingham (Surrey).

You will rotate across laboratories, follow SOPs, perform routine analysis and maintain accurate lab records. The position requires a science background, experience with food environments is a plus, and flexibility to work across both sites.

• Willingness to work across multiple sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work flexibly across Wokingham and Reading sites as required.
• Follow SOPs and Food Safety procedures to produce products at lab and manufacturing scale.
• Perform routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample prep under supervision.
• Record information in the LIMS (Q-Pulse) system and keep accurate records.
• Calibrate lab equipment as required.

Talentmark are recruiting for a Flexible Technician to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for 6 months, with high likelihood of being extended further. This role is site based in Reading (Berkshire) and Wokingham (Surrey).

Salary:

£13.35 per hour, 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm with a 45 minute lunch break.

Technician Role:

• Flexibly work in different laboratories across both Wokingham and Reading sites, as required.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Food Safety Procedures to produce food products at lab scale or manufacturing scale.
• Perform basic routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample preparation under senior supervision.
• Use the LIMS (Q-Pulse) system to record information.
• Keep an organised and accurate record of lab work carried out.
• Calibrate lab equipment as required.

Your Background:

• Educated up to A-Level/HNC/BTEC level in a Science.
• Experience of working with food - e.g. in a restaurant, café or in food production.
• Flexible and adaptable in a workplace, enjoying the challenge of adapting to different teams and environments.
• Passionate about Science.
• Passionate about Food.
• Meticulous and organised, with strong attention to detail.
• Laboratory experience would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a fast learner.
• It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
