Job summary

Nutreco’s Trouw Nutrition GB site in Ashbourne is seeking a Junior Quality Controller to join the Quality team on‑site. You will support quality control activities, carry out inspections, collect samples, and help investigate quality issues to maintain product integrity.

The role offers exposure to audits, documentation, and continuous improvement within a global nutrition company. Successful candidates will have strong attention to detail, good IT skills, and the ability to engage stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control/assurance within manufacturing or food production.
• Familiarity with quality standards (UFAS, ISO, HACCP, GMP+) is beneficial but not required.
• Good IT and Excel skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support quality control activities to ensure compliance, product quality, and operational excellence.
• Carry out routine quality inspections and checks on raw materials and finished products.
• Collect and manage product samples for testing and evaluation.
• Support investigations into quality complaints and non‑conformances.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Assist with internal audits and quality assurance activities.
• Work closely with Production, Operations, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality‑related issues.
• Promote quality standards and best practices across the site.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality function.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and relevant regulations.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
