Job summary

hireful is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to provide hands-on, end-to-end HR support for SME clients across Essex and surrounding areas.

You will partner with business owners and managers, handle employee relations, policy drafting, restructures, recruitment, and training design. The role is home-based with occasional client visits, offering flexibility and a strong focus on practical delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a HR generalist role (ideally HR Advisor or HR Manager).
• Comfortable engaging directly with business owners, senior managers, and HR peers.
• Ideally CIPD qualified, but being qualified by experience is fine too.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for client visits across the local region.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR partner to companies with no internal HR function, dealing directly with business owners and managers.
• Support companies with under-resourced HR teams with project work, or handle complex escalations for standalone HR officers.
• Tasks may include employee relations casework, drafting policies and handbooks, restructure projects, recruitment, and designing training.
