Job summary

Caravan Coffee Roasters is seeking a hands‑on Head of Operations to lead end‑to‑end roastery operations in North London. You will own planning, packaging procurement, production, fulfilment, and cost management while guiding teams through scale and change.

We require a proven operator with lean/Six Sigma experience, strong budget discipline and a track record of delivering measurable efficiency gains in food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Proven senior operations experience in food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience and track record of improvements.
• Hands-on leader who delves into detail to troubleshoot and keep things moving.
• Able to build, motivate and lead teams through change and growth.
• Strong planning, budget management and data‑driven decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations and Customer Experience teams to build a high‑performing culture.
• Own budgets and drive procurement, resourcing, production and fulfilment efficiency.
• Oversee Health & Safety, risk management, SALSA and Fairtrade compliance.
• Embed B Corp principles and measurable sustainability improvements.
• Own S&OP, planning, capacity and production scheduling; drive lean improvements.
• Manage relationships with third‑party production and logistics partners and SLAs.
