Job summary

Loungers plc in the United Kingdom is hiring a General Manager to lead Viento Lounge, a local café bar. You will run a hands-on operation, build and develop a strong team, and make the lounge the heart of the community.

This full-time role offers a competitive base salary with bonus and overtime, 48-hour contract with a 40-hour option, paid overtime, twice-yearly bonus, staff discounts from day one, and clear progression through in-house training and Future Ops.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in hospitality venues.
• Hands-on leader who builds and develops teams.
• Strong focus on customer service and community engagement.
• Ability to manage GP, labour, stock and KPIs.
• Experience coordinating with kitchen teams and Head Chef.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Viento Lounge and manage shifts.
• Recruit, train and develop a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on food quality, stock and service standards.
• Monitor KPIs, labour and GP to drive improvements.
• Lead weekly meetings and drive community engagement.
