Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a hands‑on General Manager to lead Brezo Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll recruit, coach and develop a loyal team, ensure impeccable hospitality and run a profitable operation alongside the Head Chef.

This permanent, full‑time role offers a 48‑hour contract (40‑hour option available), achievable bonus, overtime pay, and strong progression through in‑house training and development programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in restaurants, bars, or cafes.
• Track record of leading teams and delivering service standards.
• Strong knowledge of GP, labour, stock, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Brezo Lounge, leading a variety of shifts and ensuring standards never slip.
• Build, recruit and develop a strong team with clear development plans.
• Work closely with Head Chef to monitor food quality, wait times, stock, and training.
• Know your numbers inside out—GP, labour, stock, and use them to improve.
• Lead weekly HOD meetings and align the team across all shifts.
• Engage with the local community through social media and events.
• Schedule fair rotas at least two weeks in advance and manage shift reporting.
