Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a General Manager to lead Martello Lounge, a key local café bar. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, community engagement, and delivering top hospitality across a 48-hour operation (40-hour option).

Qualifications

• Must have management experience in hospitality (restaurants, bars, cafés or coffee shops).
• Experience recruiting, training and developing teams is essential.
• Able to drive, monitor and optimise KPIs including guest satisfaction and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Martello Lounge and lead a multi-shift operation.
• Build and develop a strong team with clear development plans.
• Work closely with the Head Chef to oversee food quality, stock and service levels.
• Know your numbers: GP, labour, stock and customer metrics to drive improvement.
• Run weekly HOD meetings and align the team across all shifts.
• Engage with the local community and build relationships with guests and neighbours.
