Job summary

Professional Construction Recruitment Ltd is seeking a hands-on General Foreman for a major civil infrastructure project with a leading Tier 1 contractor. The role involves driving civils, groundworks and structural steel activities on site, managing labour and subcontractors, and ensuring progress to programme.

You will report to the Project Director, maintaining safety, quality and productivity on a busy multi-front site with strong on-site leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience as General Foreman on major civil infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on leadership on heavy civils and groundworks.
• Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, foundations, concrete works.
• Experience with structural steel erection or coordination with steelwork contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and large site teams; strong programme awareness.

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on lead in day-to-day site operations and delivery.
• Drive civils, groundworks, structural steel and associated works.
• Oversee ongoing structural steel frame erection and sequencing.
• Direct site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and labour.
• Maintain site discipline, safety, RAMS compliance and quality.
