Job summary

Active Flooring Solutions Limited is seeking an Apprentice Floorlayer to join our team on commercial construction sites across the North East. No prior experience is required; you’ll receive comprehensive training to learn installing carpets, vinyl and hardwood with a focus on quality workmanship.

You’ll work under experienced installers, develop practical skills on live projects, and gain a long-term career in a growing flooring trade within a supportive apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• No previous flooring experience required; full training provided.
• Physically active role with stamina and fitness essential.
• Valid UK driving licence; comfortable driving company vans.

Responsibilities

• Install a variety of flooring materials to a high standard.
• Use tools, equipment and techniques for professional floor laying.
• Prepare, measure and fit flooring accurately and efficiently.
• Work safely and maintain a clean, organised environment.
• Develop practical skills through hands-on experience on live projects.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
