Job summary

Cardo Group in Cardiff is seeking a Floor Layer to install, repair and maintain a range of floor coverings in social housing and public sector properties across the region. You will work on carpet, vinyl, laminate and tile installations to high standards and within agreed timescales.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Floor Layer in social housing or residential property.
• Experience installing carpet, vinyl, tile and laminate.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Floor Laying is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lay and install flooring materials (carpet, vinyl, tiles, linoleum, laminate) to project requirements.
• Prepare surfaces for cap and cove vinyl installation, ensuring neat finish.
• Install cap and cove vinyl flooring, and form upstands with accurate heights and detailing.
• Repair damaged flooring and replace sections, ensuring safe, durable finish.
• Use flooring tools safely and work alongside other trades on refurbishment projects.
• Interact with residents professionally and complete documentation accurately.
