Job summary

Chilled Pubs seeks a hands-on Financial Controller to run the finance function across multiple pubs and a food manufacturing hub. You will own the full accounting cycle, prepare period-end accounts, and ensure audit readiness while improving processes and clarity of financial information.

The role requires manufacturing experience, payroll knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to lead a small accounts team across sites.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in finance and payroll knowledge.
• Strong general accounting background.
• Proficient with accounting software including Sage or Xero.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day finance function across multiple pubs/sites and entities.
• Sole accountant owning full accounting cycle end-to-end and audit readiness.
• Produce period-end management accounts across sites and manufacturing hub.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and daily processes.
• Report and analyse stock, variances and cost controls.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
• Oversee payroll processing and compliance with wage rules.
• Maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with non-finance colleagues to clarify numbers.
