Job summary

Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) is seeking a practical, hands-on maintenance operative to deliver reliable repair and preventative work across our facilities. You will handle basic electrical and plumbing tasks, support contractors, and assist with courier duties while ensuring tasks align with NWG safety procedures.

With a focus on initiative and reliability, you will respond to helpdesk requests, maintain documentation, and drive a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, proactive with practical experience in electrical, plumbing and building maintenance.
• Ability to interpret RAMS and follow safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork, with a solution-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic emergency and remedial repairs.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure safe, efficient task completion.
• Respond to helpdesk requests and assist with courier duties as needed.
• Follow Northumbrian Water procedures and maintain safe workplaces.
