Job summary

Wienerberger UK & Ireland seeks an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Maintenance Electrician) for its Warnham site near Horsham. You will work hands‑on in our inhouse team to keep plant equipment running, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault finding to ensure reliable production.

You will program PLCs, use diverse testing tools, and support Lean practices while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong commitment to health and safety best practice.
• Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical and electro‑mechanical plant equipment or machinery.
• Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system.
• Fault finding and repairs on electrical systems and machinery.
• Program Siemens and other PLCs.
• Use testing equipment to locate and remedy faults.
• Promote Lean thinking within the maintenance team.
• Attend breakdowns and restore production with minimal downtime.
• Contribute to safe systems of work documentation (SSOW) and comply with BSEN ISO 9001.
