Job summary

Kinetic Recruitment are supporting a growing manufacturing business in St Helens to recruit a Permanent Assembly Operative. The role involves assembling cabinets, panels and components to technical drawings, using hand tools and ensuring quality standards are met.

Candidates should have hands-on assembly/manufacturing experience, read drawings, and work to strict specifications. Hours are Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm, Friday 7:00am-12:30pm; site-based and permanent.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly/manufacturing or a hands-on production environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to set specifications.
• Ability to work to production targets while maintaining quality.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and consistent approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cabinets, panels and components in line with technical drawings and specifications.
• Use hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Follow assembly instructions, drawings and production specifications.
• Measure and check components during assembly.
• Ensure products are assembled correctly and to required standards.
• Carry out quality checks and report defects or issues.
• Work to production targets and agreed timescales.
• Safely move components and completed products as required.
• Report equipment faults or problems to the Team Leader or Manager.
• Maintain good housekeeping within the work area.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production requirements.
