Gadgies in Folkestone is seeking an Assembly Operative to join the on-site production team. This temporary, full-time role involves assembling products, testing firmware, and packing orders for worldwide shipment. No electronics background is required, and training is provided.

You will work in a small, hands-on team focused on quality and timely delivery, with pension and holidays included. This is a great entry point into a growing Kent-based hardware start-up.

Qualifications

• No electronics background required.
• Good manual dexterity and pride in doing things properly.
• Ability to follow assembly instructions and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units by fitting modules and boards into enclosures using hand tools.
• Load and test firmware; training will be given.
• Quality-check each unit before shipment.
• Pack and dispatch finished units per packaging spec, including international shipments.
• Keep build/test records and maintain a tidy workspace.
