Job summary

Leisure People Recruitment in Aberdare seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager responsible for safe operation, inspection, maintenance and reliability of all adventures, equipment, PPE and site facilities at a leading adventure tourism site.

You will lead the maintenance team, manage inspections and preventative programs, oversee budgets, and coordinate with the General Manager to deliver a safe, high-quality customer experience across multiple experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance, engineering, technical or facilities management experience.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience leading and working with contractors and managing an in-house team.
• Proactive, practical and positive attitude towards maintenance challenges.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all adventures, structures, equipment and PPE are safe, compliant and operational.
• Manage inspection regime of all activity structures and equipment.
• Deliver preventative maintenance programmes.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection and safety records.
• Manage contractors, third-party inspectors and specialist suppliers.
• Maintain site safety, presentation and serviceability to a high standard.
• Oversee maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support risk assessments and safe systems of work for compliance.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption.
• Lead, develop and coach the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with site management to drive continuous improvement.
