Job summary

18 Week Support Limited seeks an experienced Gynaecology Hysteroscopy Healthcare Assistant to support patients across the Southwest region with outpatient care, contributing to safe, high-quality, patient-centred services.

You will join a professional, well-supported clinical environment, with flexible weekend working and opportunities to work alongside experienced consultants and specialist teams.

Qualifications

• Current experience working within a surgical setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
• Proven NHS experience.
• Experience working within clinics or theatre environments is desirable.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Vital signs observation.
• Urine analysis, pregnancy testing, blood glucose monitoring.
• Knowledge of record keeping and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of specimen management.
• Aseptic technique.
• Hand washing and infection control.
• Disposal of clinical waste.
• Set up and use Lletz machine.
• Set up and use Novosure/Myosure machine.
• Endometrial ablation and biopsy.
• Resection of fibroid (hysteroscopic).
• Set up of hysteroscopy trolley and stack system.
