Job summary

Gymbox Roaming Host role across London clubs seeks a proactive host to welcome members and prospects, delivering outstanding service and energetic club tours.

You will work up to 24 hours per week, including weekends, across multiple sites, ensuring clean, safe and welcoming environments while supporting marketing and member administration tasks. Be ready for a fast-paced, dynamic gym culture focused on member experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent member service and guest experience

• Availability for minimum 16 hours a week, for at least one year

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and potential prospects.
• Deliver engaging club tours highlighting products and services.
• Maintain clean, welcoming member areas, gym floor and vending areas.
• Stock towels, vending and protein shake machines.
• Report maintenance or facilities improvements.
• Ensure health and safety risks are minimised and escalated as needed.
• Update member details in relevant systems.
• Open and close clubs following checklists.
• Support marketing campaigns and member administration.
• Perform extra tasks as needed to support business needs.

Job description

Location: Please be aware you will have to be able to work at all the listed locations below

*Bank, Elephant & Castle, Holborn, Farringdon, Old Street, Victoria, Westfield Stratford, Finsbury Park

Shifts: Available Friday to Sunday for all shifts between 5:30 AM and 11:15 PM

Hours per week: 24 hours

As a host you will have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for every member and prospect by delivering exceptional customer service and leading dynamic, informative club tours.

You’ll play a key part in shaping the atmosphere of the club—keeping member areas clean, welcoming, and energising—while actively supporting a safe environment by spotting, reporting, and escalating any improvements to the clubs. You are a multi-tasker, handling various situations at once.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and potential prospects in line with brand values.
• Deliver exceptional club tours to potential prospects, based on their needs, providing up to date information about the various products available and following up where appropriate.
• Ensure top level member experience through maintaining the cleanliness of member areas, gym floor (regular walk arounds, clearing up weights etc) and vending machines.
• Stocking towel area, vending and protein shake machine.
• Proactively reporting maintenance or facilities improvements.
• Ensure any health and safety risks are minimised upon discovery/reporting and follow correct procedures to rectify escalating where required.
• Ensure members and prospects details are correctly updated within relevant systems.
• Safely and securely open the club and close the club following specified checklists.
• Support with marketing campaigns, and member administration (Service Calls, member support, payment & Debt support).
• This list is not exhaustive; you will be required from time to time to complete extra tasks within your skillset to support business need.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Demonstrable ability to deliver excellent member service
• Demonstrable commercial mindset and customer orientated
• Background in commercial economics, sports education, hospitality or similar relevance
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Stress resilience, ability to handle different situations at once, prioritising skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work as a team
• Availability for the minimum of 16 hours a week, for minimum a year.
• Demonstrable attention to detail
• Ability to work flexibly for business needs, hours can range across weekends and evenings
• Ability to work across multiple clubs

• Experience in the hospitality industry and/or fitness industry (desirable)
