Job summary

Bournemouth University's SportBU seeks a Gym & Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our fitness facilities, studios and wider health offer. You will manage shifts, supervise staff, and ensure safe, welcoming and commercially strong service.

The role requires experience in leisure, fitness or sport, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to deliver high-quality experiences while supporting strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in the leisure, fitness or sport sector is required.
• Ability to lead and develop teams while delivering excellent customer experiences.
• Strong organisational and commercial mindset for facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of gym, studios and fitness provision.
• Lead shift rotations, staff supervision and service delivery.
