Job Description:

DUTY MANAGER - GYM / HEALTH CLUB - (Battersea Power Station)

***PT Level 3 qualified***

Current shifts = 32 hours pw OR 24 hours pw

As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the highest levels of customer service to residents, guests, and external contractors at the development. You will be the primary contact for all queries within the Club. Your main duties involve operating the entire Club facility, reporting to the Club & Spa Manager, ensuring service delivery at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:
General:
  • Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as per Educated Body Grooming protocol.
  • Show professionalism, punctuality, and good manners.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all queries from residents and guests.
  • Perform duties with a friendly, professional attitude, following the directives of the Club & Spa Manager.
Operations:
  • Maintain inventory of supplies for club operations.
  • Handle booking requests for treatments, personal training, inductions, fitness activities, and external bookings.
  • Manage administrative procedures to ensure professional club operation.
  • Keep the reception area tidy, clean, and stocked.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures and setup protocols.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards through regular walk-throughs.
  • Adhere to Educated Body Standards and Procedures.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing packages and emails.
  • Report requests and complaints, ensuring resolution and follow-up for guest satisfaction.
Customer Service:
  • Facilitate smooth resident experiences.
  • Maintain high guest service levels.
  • Process inquiries, service requests, and bookings efficiently.
  • Greet residents warmly, conduct tours, and provide re-orientations for returning residents.
  • Anticipate resident needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all residents.
  • Answer club-related questions courteously, including health & fitness advice.
  • Maintain good telephone etiquette.
  • Conduct resident inductions and offer complimentary personal training sessions and programs.
Facility Management and Maintenance:
  • Identify and report hazards or defects.
  • Perform daily and weekly maintenance checks on gym and plant room equipment.
Training:
  • Attend necessary training courses.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Health and Safety:
  • Conduct safety and cleanliness checks.
  • Perform water tests regularly.
  • Follow operating procedures and attend emergency responder training.
  • Act as a professional rescuer in emergencies.
  • Ensure safety of residents, guests, and staff.
  • Report equipment issues.
Skills and Experience:
  • Level 3 PT qualification or about to complete it is essential.
  • Strong command of English, with hospitality industry knowledge.
  • Experience in similar roles and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Well-organized, attentive to detail, and a good communicator.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
