Job summary

Maersk is seeking a motivated GWO Basic Safety Training Instructor to join our Humber Region team. You will deliver practical and classroom-based training to diverse delegates from the renewable energy sector and travel to training centres and client sites across the UK.

You will develop specialist knowledge across multiple GWO disciplines, provide coaching and feedback, and ensure high standards of safety and quality in all training activities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent.
• Experience delivering practical training, coaching, or instruction.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel when required.
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess training in accordance with GWO standards and company procedures.
• Facilitate both practical and theoretical learning sessions.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all delegates.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to delegates throughout their training.
• Maintain training equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Conduct routine inspections and safety checks of facilities and equipment.
• Assist in the continuous improvement and development of training materials.
• Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold company values at all times.
