Job summary

Maersk Training in the Humber region is seeking a motivated GWO Basic Safety Training Instructor to join our expanding team. You will deliver industry-leading training to prepare personnel for safe work in onshore and offshore wind environments, across UK facilities and client locations.

We value practical experience in operational safety and education, plus strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to travel. Full training and development will be provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering practical training, coaching, or instruction.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Renewable energy or wind industry experience.
• First Aid qualifications or experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess training in accordance with GWO standards and company procedures.
• Facilitate both practical and theoretical learning sessions.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all delegates.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to delegates throughout their training.
• Maintain training equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Conduct routine inspections and safety checks of facilities and equipment.
• Assist in the continuous improvement and development of training materials.
• Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold company values at all times.

• Flexibility to travel when required
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Renewable energy or wind industry experience
• First Aid qualifications or experience
• Lifting, technical, emergency response, military, or industrial safety background
