Job summary

Maersk is seeking a motivated GWO Basic Safety Training Instructor to deliver industry-leading safety programmes for onshore and offshore wind environments in the Humber Region. The role involves practical and classroom sessions, developing knowledge across multiple GWO disciplines, and working with delegates from the renewable energy sector.

• Essential Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering practical training, coaching, or instruction.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel when required.
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess training in accordance with GWO standards and company procedures.
• Facilitate both practical and theoretical learning sessions.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all delegates.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to delegates throughout their training.
• Maintain training equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Conduct routine inspections and safety checks of facilities and equipment.
• Assist in the continuous improvement and development of training materials.
• Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold company values at all times.

We are looking for a motivated and engaging GWO Basic Safety Training Instructor to join our growing team in the Humber Region. Whether you already have experience delivering GWO courses or come from a practical operational, emergency response, military, lifting, technical, industrial safety, or training background, we would like to hear from you.

We Offer As a GWO Instructor, you will join a highly skilled and supportive team dedicated to delivering training that genuinely makes a difference. In this role, you will:

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training programmes

We're Looking For

Desirable:

• Experience delivering GWO training courses
• Renewable energy or wind industry experience
• Working at Height experience
• First Aid qualifications or experience
• Lifting, technical, emergency response, military, or industrial safety background
• Assessor qualifications
