Job summary

Damco Spain SL is seeking a GWO Basic Safety Training Instructor to join our Humber Region team in the UK. The role focuses on delivering engaging GWO training for onshore and offshore wind environments, combining practical and classroom learning with ongoing professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent), proven training experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering practical training, coaching, or instruction.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel around the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training programmes.
• Develop knowledge across multiple GWO and safety disciplines.
• Travel to training centres and client locations throughout the UK.
• Be supported through ongoing professional development and instructor training.
• Play a key role in preparing personnel to work safely in challenging environments.
• Deliver and assess training in accordance with GWO standards and company procedures.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to delegates.
• Maintain training equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold company values.

We are looking for a motivated and engaging GWO Basic Safety Training Instructor to join our growing team in the Humber Region.

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training programmes
• Develop specialist knowledge across multiple GWO and safety disciplines

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess training in accordance with GWO standards and company procedures
• Facilitate both practical and theoretical learning sessions
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all delegates
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to delegates throughout their training
• Maintain training equipment in a safe and serviceable condition
• Conduct routine inspections and safety checks of facilities and equipment
• Assist in the continuous improvement and development of training materials
• Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality
• Represent the company professionally and uphold company values at all times

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
• Experience delivering practical training, coaching, or instruction
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to travel when required
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Renewable energy or wind industry experience
• First Aid qualifications or experience
• Lifting, technical, emergency response, military, or industrial safety background
