Job summary

NHS England is seeking an outstanding Training Programme Director for Genito-Urinary Medicine in South London. The role supports the Postgraduate Dean in leading a wide range of specialty training functions aligned to NHS England mandates.

The successful candidate will work with the Head of School and other Renal TPDs, and lead regional training, recruitment, and postgraduate programme management to deliver high-quality trainee development and patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS training environments and postgraduate medical education.
• Proven leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multi-professional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Specialty’s Regional Training Programme.
• Manage specialty-specific trainee/trainer matters and progression.
• Lead recruitment to training posts and programmes.
• Oversee postgraduate programme management including assessments, rotations, and remediation.
