Job summary

Chartwells is hiring a dedicated Porter on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. You will contribute to a high standard of customer care and cleanliness while supporting operations across our venues.

This role offers stable shifts (5 out of 7 days) and a chance to grow within Compass Group UK&I, a leader in the hospitality sector, with competitive pay, rewards and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high quality customer care.
• Able to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in keeping the lobby and other public areas clean and tidy.
• Help housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture.
• Handle reception duties, such as booking theatre tickets or making restaurant reservations.
• Respond to customer requests where required.
• Run errands.
• Ensure safety by placing and removing wet floor/paint signage.
