Job summary

The Celtic Collection is seeking a Rooms Allocation Coordinator for The Celtic Manor Resort, Newport. You will coordinate guest room allocations, manage guest preferences and VIP arrivals, and work with Housekeeping and Reservations to ensure flawless arrivals.

Ideal candidates have guest-facing experience, excellent written and spoken communication, and strong attention to detail. Proficiency with MS Office and hotel systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous guest-facing or customer service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and hotel software systems.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy hotel environment.
• Hospitality experience in a 4/5-star setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review daily arrivals and allocate guestrooms based on guest needs and VIP status.
• Coordinate pre-arrival arrangements including celebrations and upgrades.
• Liaise with Housekeeping, Reservations and Duty Managers for readiness.
• Validate reservation details, payments and billing instructions at arrival.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles and reservation data to support service.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the guest journey from pre-arrival to departure.
