Job summary

BaxterStorey in Nottingham is seeking a Guest Services Manager to lead the team in delivering outstanding hospitality at our historic property with 8 bedrooms and 5 meeting rooms.

You will manage opening/closing, diary bookings for overnight stays and events, ensure H&S and Food Safety compliance, and work closely with the Operations Manager and client to maintain service excellence.

• Background as a private guest house manager or boutique hotel manager.
• Understanding of guests service.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the house at the start and end of the week and daily when no overnight guests.
• Diary management of bookings for overnight guests, meetings and functions.
• Support managing on-site team, H&S and Food Safety due diligence and processes.
• Liaise with Operations Manager and client to ensure tasks and compliance are timely.
• Walk around a Grade 2 listed building to oversee maintenance and compliance.

40 per week. Monday to Friday but will include occasional overnight stays and will also include a Sunday from time to time. (Generally paid overtime if not part of weekly worked hours) Exciting opportunity to lead the team in running all guest services within this historic property which comprises 8 bedrooms and 5 meeting rooms. Total BaxterStorey team of 7.,

• To be responsible for the opening and closing of the house at the start and end of a working week as well as daily if there are no overnight guests staying.
• Diary management of bookings for overnight guests, meeting and functions including dinners, special events etc.
• Full support of managing the on site team as well as H&S and Food Safety due diligence and processes. Guest House comprises of 8 bedrooms and 5 meeting rooms of varying sizes.
• This is a grade 2 listed building and therefore requires regular walk arounds for maintenance and to liaise with both the Operations Manager and Client to ensure all tasks and compliance are taken care of in good time., We work together as a team to lead by example, protecting the planet and supporting local communities.
