Job summary

voco Zeal Exeter Science Park is seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant to be at the heart of our guest experience, delivering attentive service and helping create a genuinely memorable dining experience, every time.

In this role you will assist in preparing and serving food and drinks, maintain clean and welcoming dining areas, handle guest enquiries with professionalism, support events, restocking, and ensure all areas look pristine and inviting.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages, efficiently and with a smile
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining areas, in line with health and safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest enquiries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally
• Support the wider Food and Beverage team with operational duties — setting up and clearing tables, restocking supplies, and assisting with inventory
• Help coordinate and run events and special functions
• Keep all areas well-stocked and presented to a high standard at all times
