Job summary

Generator London is seeking a hands-on Shift Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations, supervise a team, and ensure guests feel welcome and looked after throughout their stay.

You will coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and Security to keep the operation running smoothly, respond to issues with care, and uphold safety standards while delivering a seriously social experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team or leading shifts in a hotel, hostel or busy hospitality.
• Confidence handling guest feedback, resolving complaints and finding practical solutions.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with operational systems and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work rota-based shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Host guests: Be a visible, approachable presence across the property and help guests feel at home.
• Lead the shift: Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and Security to keep the operation running smoothly.
• Take ownership: Resolve guest concerns with empathy and ensure clear handovers so nothing gets missed.
• Keep standards high: Carry out property checks and respond to incidents in line with safety procedures.
