Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Host to warmly welcome members and guests, greet them by name, seat parties, and support the floor team in preparing tables for upcoming bookings.

You will manage Opera/OpenTable bookings, respond to inquiries promptly, and maintain high standards of hospitality. Expect comprehensive training, flexible shifts including weekends. This role offers weekly pay, team meals, discounts, and access to Soho perks as part of a vibrant team culture.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
• Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Able to take direction and work in a team environment or autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every member by name and guest with open arms and in a hospitable manner.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Manage the Opera/OpenTable booking system to seat members according to their booking.
• Address member concerns in real time and notify management.
• Build relationships with members and guests; communicate feedback to management and team.
• Support floor team to prepare tables with linens, cutlery and glasses.
• Maintain outstanding knowledge of menus to advise on food, allergies and pairings.
• Resolve member complaints with hospitality and professionalism.
• Uphold discretion, especially with VIPs and PWKs.
• Contribute to team success by attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues.
