Job summary

Second Nature, part of Lamington Group, seeks a warm, multi-skilled Host in Belfast to greet guests and shape their stay. You’ll blend front desk duties with bar service, handling check-ins, orders, and cocktails while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You’ll move confidently between desk and F&B, reading guests’ needs and delivering small touches that make a stay feel personal and smoother for every guest.

Qualifications

• Use instinct to anticipate guest needs and respond with warmth.
• Own the guest’s first moment and ensure they feel welcomed and cared for.
• Include all guests, remembering faces and names and making everyone feel they belong.
• Stay curious about the neighbourhood and local events to help guests discover them.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest on arrival and departure, setting a warm, professional tone.
• Handle check-in smoothly without making it feel like paperwork.
• Work behind the bar when needed: take orders, serve guests, and make drinks including cocktails.
• Move between front desk and food & beverage duties as required across the shift.
• Answer questions about the local area with enthusiasm and real knowledge, not a script.
• Notice guest needs before they ask and quietly resolve any issues.
