Job summary

The Spectator is seeking a friendly, organized and professional part-time receptionist to be the welcoming face of our busy Westminster office. This front-of-house role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people and ensuring smooth day-to-day running.

The successful candidate will provide an excellent first impression for visitors while supporting the wider team with general reception, facilities and administrative duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist guests in a warm, professional manner.
  • Manage the reception desk and keep the front-of-house area tidy and presentable.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and courteously.
  • Monitor the main entrance and manage access to the building.
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail; arrange outgoing post and courier deliveries.
  • Coordinate facilities tasks with cleaners, security and contractors.
  • Support health and safety procedures and assist with office moves as needed.
