Job summary

Bespoke Career Solutions Ltd is hiring an experienced GRP Sprayer to join a well-established automotive manufacturing business in Aldridge. You'll spray fibreglass into moulds, apply gel coats and resins, and ensure high-quality finishes.

The role offers 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday with 3-day weekends, weekly pay, and a temporary-to-permanent path. This is a hands-on role in a clean, professional workshop with a supportive team and opportunities to secure a permanent position for the

Qualifications

• Proven GRP Sprayer / Fibreglass Technician with automotive or similar manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of gel coats, resins and spraying techniques.
• Able to read production schedules and meet daily targets.
• Experience with safety procedures when handling chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Spray GRP into moulds to manufacture automotive parts.
• Apply gel coats and resins using spray equipment.
• Prepare, clean and maintain moulds prior to spraying.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and finish specifications.
• Meet daily production targets and follow schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow health & safety procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues across production to maintain workflow.

The GRP Sprayer Role:

Spraying fibreglass (GRP) into moulds to manufacture automotive parts and components

Applying gel coats and resins using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish

Working with chopped strand matting and other reinforcement materials

Preparing, cleaning, and maintaining moulds prior to spraying

Ensuring all products meet strict quality and finish standards

Trimming, finishing, and inspecting completed components where required

Working to production schedules and meeting daily targets

Following all health & safety procedures, particularly when handling resins, chemicals, and spraying equipment

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times

Collaborating with colleagues across production to ensure efficient workflow

What we’re looking for in a GRP Sprayer:

Proven experience as a GRP Sprayer, GRP Laminator, or Fibreglass Technician

Experience within automotive or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable

Strong understanding of fibreglass spraying techniques, gel coats, and resins

Knowledge of safe working practices when handling chemicals and materials

High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
